This Republic Day, ensure the well-being of citizens of your village/ town by enrolling them under Government sponsored pension and health schemes.
VLEs are requested to conduct the following activities as part of Republic Day celebrations:
- Conduct flag hoisting ceremony involving officials like collector/ BDO/ Bank officials/ Gram Pradhan/ CDPO etc. in the celebrations.
- Conduct painting and slogan competitions in schools and colleges nearby on the occasion.
- Conduct camps for enrolling citizens from marginalised and poor communities, farmers, unorganised sector workers, etc. under:
- Pension schemes like PMSYM, PMKMY, Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi, National Pension System
- Ayushman Bharat
- Create awareness on environmental issues by conducting tree plantation, proper disposal of plastic wastes and cleanliness drives in the community.
