




CSC SPV in collaboration with Ministry of MSME organized a workshop for promoting and extending support to MSME and young entrepreneurs across the country through CSCs. The workshop was attended by 700 VLEs from across the country, MSMEs from selected states, state and Ministry of MSME representatives. The main focus of the workshop was to disseminate information regarding various government schemes and programs for promotion of MSMEs.
The inauguration was done by Shri Ram Mohan Mishra, Special Secretary and Development Commissioner MSME. Shri Mishra in the inaugural function mentioned that, “CSCs can play major role in MSME programs like Udyam Sakhi and Udyam Sathi. We can develop a group on this. India is the nation of villages and CSC-Ministry of MSME collaboration can play a major role in investment mobilization.” He added, “CSCs are entrepreneurs in PPP mode. If we can work together towards linkage of banking, infrastructure in rural areas, it will be a path breaking in the inclusive development of nation.”
He was addressing around 700 Village Level Entrepreneurs of CSC from various parts of the country, at the CSC National Workshop at India Habitat Centre today. Shri D. P. Srivastava, DDG, Ministry of MSME, in the workshop of “Digital MSME Scheme” mentioned that the more than 3 lakh CSCs have played a significant role in Digital India initiatives of the Government. He said that Village Level Entrepreneurs have revolutionized India by empowering women, marginalized communities and rural citizens and providing opportunities for access of various government and other services to them. They are taking forward the agenda of the government in serving the underserved especially those living in the Rural India.
Ms. Mandeep Kaur, Jt. Development Commissioner, MSME said, “CSCs themselves are an example for successful SMEs using technology and therefore can act as catalyst for empowering and enabling other entrepreneurs, thereby promoting the growth of MSMEs in the country. CSCs can act as facilitators in disseminating in the schemes and programs of the government to the MSMEs, mainly those in the rural and semi urban areas.” Shri Prakash Mirani, GeM said, “Government e-Marketplace is a path breaking revolution in India’s public procurement. It’s going to be a great boon for MSME.”
Shri P Uday Kumar, Directror, NSIC said, “In India, more than 8000 products are being manufactured by MSMEs. NSIC is providing Demand Driven-Industry Oriented training in 128 trades in Hi-Tech and Conventional streams.”
Prof. MM Pant, Former Pro VC, IGNOU focused on using technology and self learning attributes to promote the growth and sustainability of enterprises.
Dr. Jyoti Kumar, Professor, IIT Delhi threw light on e-Commerce & Digital Marketing for MSME.
While welcoming the participants to the workshop, Dr. Dinesh Tyagi, CEO, CSC SPV said, “Only CSC has potential to create grasroot entrepreneurs. Our CSCs are itself small enterprise. The youngsters in rural India have a great potential. We are working on all the services for rural people towards building empowered and digitally inclusive society.” Dr. Tyagi also mentioned that three districts in the country, namely Varanasi (UP), Patna (Bihar) and Rajsamand (Rajasthan) are being promoted as Digital District where every Panchayat will be a Digital Village provide all the services to the citizens at the doorsteps. This is being done with the support from HDFC bank. We should be able to complete Digital Districts by end May 2020.
